What is Wisconsin’s 51 percent rule? 

Wisconsin uses modified comparative negligence. An injured person recovers only if their fault is not greater than yours. But a party found 51 percent or more causally negligent is jointly and severally liable for the entire judgment, including a co-defendant’s share. It is the strongest practical argument for umbrella coverage here.
