Is workers’ compensation insurance required in Oklahoma?

Yes. Oklahoma requires workers’ compensation insurance as soon as you have one employee, full time or part time. Failing to carry it can cost up to $1,000 per day. Limited exemptions exist for small family businesses and some agricultural employers, and exempt businesses must file an affidavit with the state.
