Do Nebraska contractors need insurance to register with the state? 

Contractors with one or more employees must file a current workers’ compensation certificate with the Nebraska Department of Labor to hold an active registration. If coverage lapses, the contractor is removed from the registered list until an updated certificate arrives. The public database displays each contractor’s coverage status.
